Steamed Red Potatoes

The kids can help wash the potatoes for this recipe.

Ingredients

  • 2 pounds of small red potatoes
  • 1/2 cup of butter or margarine
  • 1/4 cup of water
  • salt and pepper, to taste
  • 1/4 c. dried parsley

Instructions

Wash potatoes well and cut off any large blemishes. Place in pan with butter, water, salt and pepper. Cover and cook over low heat for about 30 minutes or until tender. Sprinkle with parsley and serve with liquid from the pan drizzled over top. Serve hot.

Larger potatoes can be used but will need to be cut into smaller chunks.
